My name is Jenn Davis. I am a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a Bachelors of Science in Education. As an undergraduate, I concentrated my degree in kinesiology, recreation, and sports studies in addition to pursuing a minor in leadership studies.
Growing up in the small town of Rogersville, Tennessee, I knew that four years in Knoxville would offer me the chance to experience essential self-growth that would allow me to better understand how I can become a social change agent on campus, within the community, and world wide. As you review my portfolio, I hope you see that I took full advantage of every opportunity I was given to become a well-rounded graduate of the University of Tennessee, and prepared to innovate and collaborate with leaders like you.
My primary extracurricular activities/ involements at Tennessee included: achieving a four-year varsity letter status as a Division I coxswain on the UT Women's Rowing team, fulfilling various leadership roles within the athletics department, mentoring students as an undergraduate teaching assistant, peer mentor, educational leadership and policy intern, and investing in field research in the realm of kinesiology, recreation, and sports studies. I encourage you to review my resumé on the right-hand tab, and to explore the rest of my portfolio to further expand upon my experiences, involvements, and accomplishments.
My shared leadership vision is to maximize health, well-being, and equality among domestic and international communities by emphasizing preventative health care through physical activity and public health education. To accomplish this vision, my personal mission is to educate and engage citizens in physical activity and health education in order to redirect the trends of obesity, reduce the risk of disease, and to promote positive and continual healthy lifestyle choices. This vision and mission reflects my core values:
Faith: One’s personal relationship with God and his purpose for your life
Family: A positive, unconditional support system regardless of biological belonging
Education: Continual pursuit and dispersion of knowledge
Health: Encompassing and practicing behaviors that positively benefit both one’s physical and mental health
Equality: Treat others the way you would want to be treated
Thank you for visiting my portfolio. Please feel free to contact me at my email (Jennifer.Davis03@gmail.com) or connect with me on LinkedIn if you would like to further discuss my vision or have any questions.
